Pasumai Tracker is a field application used by authorised officers and field staff to record, locate and track plantation / green-cover and civic field inspections. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it is handled.
Information we collect
Location (GPS). Precise device location is captured when you create or update a record, so the inspection can be pinned on the map and resolved to the correct ward and zone. Location is only read while you are using the app to capture a record.
Camera & photos. Photos you take or attach (issue, in-progress and completion images) are stored against the record as evidence of field work.
Account information. Your name, phone number (used to receive a one-time login code) and designation, to identify who created or acted on a record.
Records you enter. The inspection / plantation details, notes, status updates and attendance figures you submit.
Device & log data. Standard technical data (app version, device type, and request logs) used to keep the service secure and working.
Device permissions
Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION). To auto-fill the location, address, ward and zone of an inspection.
Camera (CAMERA). To photograph the site / issue while creating or updating a record.
Photos / media. To attach existing photos from your device to a record.
How we use the information
Create and manage field inspection and plantation records.
Map records by location, ward and zone and generate operational reports.
Authenticate officers by phone one-time password (OTP).
Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. Data is accessible to the government department / organisation operating the programme and is processed on secure hosting infrastructure on our behalf. We disclose information only where required by law.
Data retention
Records and images are retained for as long as needed to operate the programme and to meet record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Images are kept on access-controlled storage.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable record-keeping requirements, by contacting us at the address below.
Children
Pasumai Tracker is an official tool for authorised staff and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Users in India
For users in India, we handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may raise privacy concerns with our Grievance Officer at the contact below.
