Pasumai Tracker helps authorised users register and track land parcels, plantations, nurseries and sapling distribution, and monitor sapling survival. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it is handled.
Information we collect
Location (GPS). Precise device location is captured when you register or update a land parcel or plantation, so it can be geo-tagged and shown on a map. Location is read only while you are actively using the app to add or update a record.
Camera & photos. Photos you take or attach are stored against your land, plantation or sapling records as evidence.
Account information. Your name, role, login username and contact details (such as phone number or email) used to create your account and identify who created or manages a record.
Records you enter. Land details (e.g. survey number, area, water source), plantation and sapling-survival records, nursery stock, and sapling distribution requests.
Device & log data. Standard technical data (app version, device type, and request logs) used to keep the service secure and working.
Device permissions
Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION). To geo-tag the land parcel or plantation you are registering and place it on the map.
Camera (CAMERA). To photograph lands, plantations and saplings while creating or updating a record.
Photos / media. To attach existing photos from your device to a record.
How we use the information
Register and manage land parcels, plantations and nurseries.
Track sapling distribution and monitor plantation survival.
Provide role-based access for officers, nursery staff and farmers.
Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. Data is accessible to the organisation / department operating the programme and is processed on secure hosting infrastructure on our behalf. We disclose information only where required by law.
Data retention
Records and images are retained for as long as needed to operate the programme and to meet record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Images are kept on access-controlled storage.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and personal data (see the Account Deletion page), subject to applicable record-keeping requirements.
Children
Pasumai Tracker is a tool for authorised users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Users in India
For users in India, we handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may raise privacy concerns with our Grievance Officer at the contact below.
